Protecting Athletes of All Ages

Shockstrip® helmet pads, which adhere to the exterior shell of the helmet, were created to give helmets an added layer of protection and reduce forces associated with helmet-to-helmet impacts for virtually all helmets (football, hockey, baseball, lacrosse, bicycle, etc.). Shockstrips have also been shown to decrease the stress forces on the cervical spine and dampen the helmet-to-helmet “cracking”.

The last few years have shed significant light on the issues of sports-related injuries through media, new studies and even congressional hearings. However, there are still many parent misconceptions about helmet safety, the level of protection helmets provide, and the serious long term effects their child may experience from helmet-to-helmet impacts.

Today, Shockstrip, Inc. is working to create a more positive future for young athletes by giving parents and coaches a new tool designed to cushion the impact of helmet-to-helmet contact. PLEASE NOTE: 1) No helmet pad can prevent or eliminate the risk of concussions or other serious head injuries while playing sports; 2) Scientists have also not reached agreement on how the results of impact absorption tests relate to concussions; and 3) No conclusions about a reduction of risk or severity of concussive injury should be drawn from impact absorption tests.

“Parents have the

  football helmet it
  will protect them
  from virtually
  everything.”
