FROM DAN & ANNA SANTANGELO:

"We wanted to personally thank you for inventing Shockstrips! We, as parents to a seventh grader, felt safer with our son wearing Shockstrips on his football helmet during his season. Our son plays inside linebacker and
full back.

After being outfitted with Shockstrip this year he played his normal positions and had a very productive season. He told us that the he liked the way Shockstrips felt during helmet-to-helmet impacts.

We are extremely impressed by Shockstrips and feel that it should be mandatory for all kids to wear them! Not only do we feel that it greatly reduces impacts, but our son even said that the hits he has taken while wearing Shockstrips we not as loud as when he wasn’t wearing it.

I am taking over a football program for children in grades 4 – 6, and am going to have them wear your product!

Thank you once again for developing a product that greatly reduces impacts for children playing an extremely
physical sport!"

FROM JOE PATRONE:

"At first I was a little leary about attaching something so simple to a helmet that has claimed to have been perfected for years. After talking with Dr. Novicky I knew I had to have it. To me this was a no brainer. The facts were right there in front of you. I watched videos online of the tests performed and the results were there. I was impressed and 1 week later I had Shockstrips on my 6 year old son’s helmet. I was given no grief by the League and it was actually the talk of every game between refs. My son is only 6 years old and I know he’s still fragile, to me this was like him wearing a “second seatbelt.” I look forward to seeing them next year."

PLEASE NOTE: 1) No helmet pad can prevent or eliminate the risk of concussions or other serious head injuries while playing sports; 2) Scientists have also not reached agreement on how the results of impact absorption tests relate to concussions; and 3) No conclusions about a reduction of risk or severity of concussive injury should be drawn from impact absorption tests.

FROM ANTHONY PANTONE JR:

..."Football is a way of life in this area and in our household. I have two boys that play, one just completed his senior year of football and the other is in 8th grade. I recalled a converstation I had with Dr. Steve Novicky and his wife Kim about a new product he had developed called Shockstrips. I contacted Dr. Novicky and informed him that I was concerned about my son's chances of playing football in the future. He told me about his product and their website. After researching the product and talking to Dr. Novicky about it I knew that I would not let my son back on the football field without these strips on his helmet. I gave Dr. Novicky AJ's helmet so that he could place the strips on it.

AJ was against wearing them when I first told him about it. He didn't want to be the only one wearing them and was concerned about standing out. I told AJ that he is 300 lbs., a captain and leader of his team, he already stands out. Plus I also informed him that I didn't want him back on the field without the strips on his helmet. He agreed to wait and talk to Dr. [Novicky] and see what they look like on the helmet in person, before making any decisions. After he talked to him and saw the helmet AJ was OK with wearing it, not that I was going to give him a choice.

By the time his practice was over AJ was sold on the Shockstrips. He told us that he didn't feel the impact on his head and neck as much as he used too. Anyone who had the misfortune of going against him wasn't as happy as he was though. After a very hard fought and intense game against Struthers, AJ was extremely tired and sore but felt good with the Shockstrips on his helmet.
