MATT MACE, Western Reserve High School

“Using the Shockstrips this year really made a different while playing. They really absorbed a lot of the damage while going into the play and they were virtually weightless. The only time I remembered them being there was when I was hitting because I could barely felt it. Having them earlier in the season would have been a real game changer. I’m glad to have Shockstrip apart of our team now and can’t wait for next season.”

NATHANIEL ARMSTRONG IV
Westside Patriots, 140 lb. Team

“This year I used the Shockstrips in 2011 for the Westside Patriots football team. And we had the best time using them and there were a lot of people wanting them. When I first saw the Shockstrips, they were the sweetest thing I ever saw. I would refer to any other person the Shockstrip that they are getting something that is working for me and my teammates.”

TYLER POWELL, Western Reserve High School

“...I go to Berlin Center Western Reserve High School and play Center and Defensive End on the football team. This past season we were generously given Shockstrips for our helmets from Dr. Novicky and it was a huge help to us when we went on our run in the state playoffs. Never in my life have I felt so relieved after a game. I got to wear them for four games and I absolutely loved them and I hope to continue wearing the strips through my college playing career.

These strips may be the number one things all players at all levels need to wear. I hope that these strips will make it to everyone that plays the game of football."

PLEASE NOTE: 1) No helmet pad can prevent or eliminate the risk of concussions or other serious head injuries while playing sports; 2) Scientists have also not reached agreement on how the results of impact absorption tests relate to concussions; and 3) No conclusions about a reduction of risk or severity of concussive injury should be drawn from impact absorption tests.

DAVID STEWART, Running Back, Struthers High School

“...This letter [is] to all the people who wanna know things about these wonderful Shockstrips. My experience with the Shockstrips was one I will never forget. Out of the 10 years of my football career I had the opportunity to wear the Shockstrips and it was great. I don't think there has been a better invention to the game of football than these Shockstrips. This past football season was my junior year and the first time wearing the Shockstrips and I felt great after every hit and every game. With the Shockstrips I am just a little more comfortable taking or delivering hard head hits because of the reduced impact. It just gave you something to think about while you are playing the game that you love.

I will always remember that I had the opportunity to wear the shockstrips. They helped me so much throughout my junior year its crazy. Every game, right before I would put my helmet on, I would look at the strips and say to myself "What a great thing to have on my helmet" Haha. Another thing about the strips, they makes you look like a gladiator. You never know, that might just make you a little more intimidating out there on the field and that always could help you in some way.

I think the strips should be mandatory device. Football is the most [serious] contact sport and everyone knows that so lets start helping the players out there by adding more padding. Get your kid the Shockstrips – it will help him so much it's crazy."
